The current residents of Tam O’Shanter are a wonderful mix of permanent residence including retirees from all over Aust, young families, small businesses and holiday homes. The local community has a landcare group that help maintain the walkways and native plant species and the very popular golf club is run by volunteers from the area.

Well travelled both in Australia and overseas, we are always happy to return home to Tam O'Shanter. Nothing quite beats this place. The diversity is amazing, playing golf at the local Club, watching whales, or simply walking the beautiful beaches, we certainly have it all, and we love being part of a smaller caring community.

Marion and I moved to Australia in the late sixties from Alaska and New Zealand respectively.
We've travelled the South Pacific, and fished extensively wherever we have lived, including the Great Barrier Reef.
We discovered Tam O'Shanter in 2001, bought our property on first sight, and have been enjoying this idyllic lifestyle by the sea ever since.
