Pipers Brook wine region is within a 15-20 minute drive from Tam O’Shanter

set amongst some beautiful farming and native landscapes. Many

are open for luncheons/dinner and tastings.

Other attractions within 30 minutes are:  George Town which is an historic town on the tip of the Tamar River,  it has all the amenities you will need as an alternative than going to the city of Launceston.

Bridport is in the opposite direction (towards the north east) - it is a smaller seaside town than George Town but with plenty of shops and close to the Barnbougle and Lost Farm Golf Course.
